WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. 13.1 The Town’s work week begins on Monday morning at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and ends on Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m. If an assigned police shift begins on Sunday and carries past midnight, the assigned hours after midnight will be included with the previous day for payroll purposes. The Town requires the presence and diligent efforts of employees in order to provide the requisite level of service to our community. 13.2 The Town reserves the right to alter or amend any employee’s work schedule at its own discretion and in accordance with the needs of the Town. An honor code of conduct exists whereby employees are entrusted to work their scheduled hours. Employees are encouraged to embrace this show of responsibility and commitment to the Town, the community and to each other. Employees who are asked by the Town to keep time records must also adhere to this honor code when completing their time records. Time records must be completed fully and accurately, and employees may not provide any false information on time records or any other Town records.

WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. SECTION 1. The New Jersey Army National Guard is on a modified work schedule as outlined in TAG Policy Letter, Subject: LOI – Scheduled Day Off, dated 11 December 2007. Whenever possible, employees shall be given two consecutive days off, preferably Saturday and Sunday. In the event that this is not possible, at least one regularly scheduled day off will be given, preferably Sunday. In the event that six or seven day coverage of any activity is required, so that non-work days are staggered, every effort will be made to provide equal treatment for employees with respect to Saturdays and Sundays. a. A thirty-minute period, commencing not earlier than 3-1/2 hours and not later than 5 hours after the start of the workday, shall be designated as the lunch period. b. Employees whose scheduled work precludes them from leaving their work site will be permitted a period not to exceed 20 minutes to eat lunch and this time will be counted as hours of work. They must remain in the immediate work area and be available to work during this period. Management will, where possible, provide a lunch period completely free of all duties; and if provided, the workday will be extended by the lunch period provided. c. Employees will have a rest period of 15 minutes during each four hours of continuous work. SECTION 3. The Bargaining Unit recognizes that the normal work week and work day may be disrupted by mission requirements of higher headquarters in connection with the National Defense posture, or other directed missions by the employer. In such cases, the mission imposed will determine the days and hours of work. SECTION 4. Programmed/forecasted overtime shall be scheduled sufficiently in advance so that technicians can be notified. Overtime will be offered on a voluntary basis, and the remaining requirements filled by assigning qualified employees on an equitable and rotating basis. It is agreed that the employee's position title, pay grade and the functional element to which the technician is assigned constitutes the group within which equity will be determined. It is understood that overtime assignments, temporary duty, leave, continuity on jobs, or peculiar skill requirements may cause imbalance in the equitable distribution of overtime. WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. 1. The work week of an employee shall be determined on a recurring seven (7) day basis starting with the first day of a pay period and ending seven (7) days later. 2. Positions will be designated by title in Appendix A as either forty (40), thirty-five (35), etc., hours per week. 3. Those employees employed on a thirty-five (35) hour per week basis will work seven (7) hours per day exclusive of meal periods, five (5) days per week. Generally the work schedule for office personnel shall be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one (1) hour lunch period. However, the scheduling of the seven (7) hour work day may vary where the nature of the work requires different coverage such as the Highway Department and the Countryside Care Center. However, there shall be a minimum of one-half (½ ) hour lunch period. 4. Those employees employed on a forty (40) hour per week basis will work eight (8) hours a day exclusive of meal periods, five (5) days per week with a minimum of one-half (½ ) hour lunch period. 5. Except for the Countryside Care Center, the eight (8) hour work day shall normally be scheduled between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 6. However, the scheduling of the hours to be worked, the starting and quitting time, lunch periods, compensation time and other details of the work week shall be the prerogative of the governing body of Delaware County or the Department Head in each particular department so long as they do not violate any existing Federal or State Law. 7. The established work schedule shall not be changed without reasonable advance notice to the employee except in an emergency when it is necessary to do so to provide for continuation of County services. 8. There shall be no rescheduling of days off or tours of duty for the sole purpose of avoiding the payment of overtime. 9. The County agrees to develop and institute a master work schedule for the nursing staff at the Countryside Care Center. Alternative plans will be developed by the County. However, the preference of the nursing xxxx xxxxx shall be the deciding factor in determining which plan is adopted. The schedule shall cover a minimum of one (1) year. 10. This provision shall in no way restrict the County' s right to modify any schedule that is instituted if such schedule proves to be inefficient or unworkable.

All employees employed in the continuous operation of the Patrol Units shall have a workweek, inclusive of two weekends, consisting of four (4) consecutive days on and two (2) consecutive days off. i. The basic hours of work for four and two employees (hereafter “4 & 2”) shall be from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. All 4 & 2 employees shall be allowed one (1) thirty (30) minute lunch period at a time and in an area designated by the Supervisor. ii. For those employees assigned to the Passaic County Court House and Administration Complex, the basic workweek shall consist of Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, inclusive of a one (1) hour lunch period. The Sheriff shall have the right to limit lunch periods of Court House and Administration Complex personnel to thirty (30) minutes. c. As a condition of employment, employees must be available to work any and all shifts as needed to maintain the efficient operation of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. When necessary, employees may be placed on a staggering starts and finishes. d. If an employee is more than thirty (30) minutes late in reporting without good cause, the Sheriff or his designee may send the employee home for the balance of the working day, in which event he/she shall not receive any pay for that day. e. The Parties agree to meet for the purposes of considering alternative schedules. Such alternative schedules shall be implemented upon mutual agreement. f. Except in emergent situations, one week advanced notice shall be given to an Officer prior to any non-emergent shift change.

WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. 1. WORK WEEK - The normal work week of Employees covered by this Agreement shall consist of forty (40) hours. The regular work week may be temporarily increased or decreased to facilitate changes in scheduled shift assignments. Such temporary decreases will not affect basic pay schedules nor will temporary increases entitle Employees to overtime pay rates, except as mandated by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The scheduling of work shifts and work weeks shall be directed by the Department Head, as provided by NRS 288. Unworked holidays listed in Section 4, Article A, annual leave, administrative leave with pay and compensatory time off pursuant to Section 4, Article J (1) would be counted as hours actually worked for purposes of computing FLSA and contractual overtime. Xxxx leave and other unpaid leave such as leave without pay will continue to be excluded from the computation of hours actually worked for the purposes of computing FLSA and contractually scheduled overtime. 2. Duty hours shall be devoted fully to the performance of assigned duties; periods of absence for personal reasons are not creditable toward duty hours and must be charged to annual leave, leave of absence without pay or, if resulting from a legitimate illness or physical injury, to sick leave as defined in Section 4, Article C. 3. BREAKS (defined) - Except during emergency situations, Employees covered by this Agreement shall be permitted one (1) fifteen (15) minute break or rest period for each four (4) hour term of assigned duty, not to exceed two (2) such break periods in any eight (8) hour shift. 4. This Article is intended only as basis for computing overtime and is not intended as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week.

WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. 7.1 Work Week. The work week is defined as the period between 12:01 a.m., Sunday through 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. 7.2 Normal working hours shall be forty (40) hours per week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an hour unpaid lunch. Employees may work a flexible schedule upon mutual agreement of the employee and the District. Normal flexible hours may range from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
WORK WEEK/HOURS OF WORK. A. The work week shall commence at 12:01 AM on Sunday and end at 12:00 AM on Sunday. B. All regular employees shall be scheduled to work on a regular work shift, and each shift shall have regular starting and ending times. Employees shall be notified of their work schedule, including the employee's workday and hours. Except in emergency situations, work schedules will be changed only after forty-eight (48) hours advance notice is given to the involved employees. C. Overtime is defined as hours worked in a week over forty (40) hours. Where an employee is directed and assigned by an administrator by pre-arrangement to work in addition to the employee’s regular work schedule and such assignment is over forty (40) hours, the employee shall be paid overtime, or compensated by time and a half for each overtime hour worked as compensatory time off in lieu of wages to be taken at the time mutually agreeable to the employee and the administrator. Employees may accumulate up to 120 hours compensatory time during a school year and must use it, or be paid, by the end of the school year. D. Where an employee is directed and assigned by an administrator by pre-arrangement to work in addition to the employee's regular work schedule and such assignment is not overtime, the employee shall be paid, or be compensated by hour for hour flex time off in lieu of wages to be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and administrator. However, such flex time must be taken off within the same pay period or be paid in the subsequent pay period.
