WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. (a) The School District agrees that the basic work week for bargaining unit employees shall be forty (40) hours, scheduled as need arises and at the discretion of the Chief of Police. When an employee is scheduled to work on a Saturday and/or on a Sunday, that employee will be paid his/her regular hourly rate except when working on that Saturday and/or Sunday would constitute overtime within the meaning of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). (b) Overtime compensation shall be paid on the second pay date following the pay period that the overtime was worked.
(c) In lieu of overtime pay, an employee may elect to accumulate compensatory time up to an annual reoccurring maximum of sixteen (16) hours. Such hours are not limited to code 9004. Both the accumulation of compensatory time and the use of compensatory time shall be at the discretion of the Chief of Police or his/her designee.
(d) All bargaining unit members may use compensatory time up to a maximum of three (3) hours per day during the calendar year. Said use shall be at the discretion of the Chief of Police or his/her designee.
(e) All bargaining unit members shall meet with their supervisors prior to May 15 of each school year to schedule when any unused compensatory time will be utilized. All compensatory time utilization must be approved by the Chief or designee. If a bargaining unit member fails to schedule use of compensatory time by May 15th, the Chief or designee will schedule when the compensatory time will be utilized.
(f) In the event of an exceptional circumstance that prohibits the utilization of compensatory time prior to August 15th of each year, the employee shall be paid at one and a half times his/her current hourly rate of pay effective as of the last pay date in August for all unused compensatory time, and payment will be made to the employee no later than the last pay date in September.
(g) All compensatory time must be used before the effective date of any leave of absence without pay.
(h) The Officer within the Department designated annually as the “Officer of the Year” will be granted a duty day off with pay on a date mutually agreed to by the Chief of Police and that Officer.
17.2 The Chief of Police or designee expressly reserves the right to change work schedules as necessary and for the purpose of avoiding unnecessary overtime as long as statutory requirements set forth in FLSA are not violated.

WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. Section 1 The work week shall begin at 12:01 a.m. on Monday and shall extend through midnight on the following Sunday.
Section 2 Regular full-time Eligible Team Members are guaranteed to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week.
Section 3 Regular full-time Eligible Team Members are entitled to two (2) consecutive days off in each work week, except where either of the days is a black out day, the days off are mutually agreed to by the Eligible Team Members and the Tribe, or the shifts for such Eligible Team Members do not have two (2) consecutive scheduled days off during the work week. The Tribe shall not unilaterally modify the currently bid schedule of a full-time Eligible Team Member without providing at least fourteen (14) days advance notice (except in case of emergency, safety situations, or an event outside the Tribe’s control that makes such notice impractical).
Section 4 Each Eligible Team Member shall be entitled to take a rest period of not longer than fifteen (15) minutes during each four (4) hour work period. Break periods will be scheduled, to the extent practicable, to minimize disruption of work operations.
Section 5 Each Eligible Team Member scheduled to work a shift of six (6) hours or longer shall be entitled to a paid meal period of thirty (30) minutes.
Section 6 When the Tribe schedules full time Eligible Team Member to report to work and said full time Eligible Team Member is not put to work, he or she shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours at his or her hourly wage. When the Tribe schedules part time Eligible Team Member to report to work and said part time Eligible Team Member is not put to work, he or she shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours at his or her hourly wage. This Section 6 compensation would not apply for attendance at training or other specially requested meetings.
Section 7 Overtime pay shall be in accordance with the Tribe’s current policy: non-exempt Eligible Team Members shall receive overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their blended rate of pay, for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a work week.
Section 8 Where overtime work can be foreseen, the Tribe shall first offer such overtime to the most senior Eligible Team Members and continue to offer, on a descending seniority basis, until the Tribe’s need is met or until all Eligible Team Members have refused. 1. for a medical emergency or planned medical procedure;
2. to extend a properly authorized bereavement leave;
3. to observe a religious day of the employee’s faith; and/or
4. upon prior written approval from the Chief of Police or his/her designee, such as when the absence will not create an operational hardship.

Section 2. Day shifts are defined as 0600 hours until 1800 hours. Night shifts are defined as 1800 hours until 0600 hours.
Section 3. Employees permanently assigned to the night shift shall receive 6% added to their regularly hourly rate of pay. Employees assigned to day shift will receive their base pay for all hours worked on day shift, and will receive 6% times their base hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on night shift. Overtime will be calculated according to this Section. Section 4.
WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. All bargaining unit members shall receive annualized pay. The District will establish the number of workdays on an annual basis. The District must authorize and approve all timesheets. However, timesheets will not be changed for time changes without the initials approval of both the employee and the supervisor acknowledging agreement of the change. Timesheets with calculation errors may be changed without the employee's initials approval. Paychecks will be issued on a biweekly basis. Effective July 1, 2016 or as soon thereafter as practicable, Time clocks will be implemented for all departments. If at any time it becomes necessary for the District to recoup monies from a unit member, the unit member must agree to a mutually agreeable repayment schedule. WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. 1. Employees shall be paid one and one-half 1 ½) their regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) per week.
2. Except for bus drivers, employees working three (3) or more hours up to six (6) hours shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break. Employees working six (6) or more hours shall receive a one-half (½) hour lunch and two (2) fifteen (15) minute breaks.
3. Call-in time shall be defined as when an employee is called to work following the completion of, or prior to, the employee's normal work shift. An employee who is called in shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours' pay, calculated at his/her hourly rate unless the call-in exceeds a forty (40) hour week, in which case pay will be calculated at one and one-half (1 ½) times the normal hourly rate. When call-ins are necessary, a rotation list for each classification and for each building/department as applicable, shall be used. The list will be in seniority order and when a call-in is necessary it will be offered to the employee at the top of the list. Once a call-in has been offered, the individual whose name is at the top of the list will move to the bottom of the list. If no one accepts the call-in, employees in the other buildings in the same classification shall be asked in accordance with that building’s rotation list. When a regular employee in the Custodial/Maintenance or Mechanic classification calls off, the employee from the other shift in the classification, by seniority shall be offered the opportunity to work the entire shift rather than their regular shift prior to offering the opening to a substitute.
4. Overtime will be scheduled/approved by the supervisor as necessary.
5. Employees will not be assigned duties associated with a job classification other than their own, except in clearly reasonable situations.
WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. The normal work week will be eight (8) hours a day five days a week. All hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall constitute overtime and shall be paid for at one and one-half (1%) times the employee's basic rate of pay. WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. 27.1 The Chief Correctional Officer/or designee shall establish the workweek, hours of work and schedules best suited to meet the needs of the Pasco County Corrections Department and provide service to the community. The normal work period consists of eighty-five (85) hours in a fourteen (14) day period. Officers are responsible for attending shift briefings, cleaning of firearms, vehicles, maintenance of uniforms and equipment, etc. Nothing in this Agreement shall be constructed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week. The current policy will apply unless amended with notification.
27.2 All members shall be available at all times for the performance of duties beyond the ordinary or normal work period as may be required.
27.3 The work cycle for overtime purposes shall be fourteen (14) consecutive days. Any hours that a member is required to work above eighty-five (85) hours in the work cycle shall be paid for at time and one half the member’s regular hourly rate; provided, however, that the Chief Correctional Officer/ or designee reserves the right during the fourteen (14) day cycle to flex out bargaining unit members rather than paying overtime for any hours over the eighty-five (85 hours). All planned/scheduled PTO leave used during a pay period, or 14-day cycle will count towards the eighty-five (85) hour threshold for determining eligibility for overtime pay. Planned/scheduled PTO is considered any PTO approved 14 days or more in advance which gives officers the option to use PTO as work hours.
27.4 Employees who are called out shall be compensated pursuant to current policy.
WORKWEEK AND OVERTIME. It is agreed that eight (8) hours shall constitute a day’s work. The basic work week for all shifts shall consist of five (5), eight (8) hour days, Sunday night through Friday. The normal shift hours will be: 1st shift – 6:45 AM to 2:45 PM 2nd shift – 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM 3rd shift – 10:45 PM to 6:45 AM (commencing at 10:45 PM Sunday) The basic workweek for Mineral Core Wet/Dry Side, crew 2, while on a five (5) day, eight (8) hour operation, will be from 6:45PM until 2:45AM, commencing on Sunday and ending at 2:45AM Friday. If a three-shift operation is required in dry side operations, dry side crew 2 positions will be eliminated and those employees will have claim to newly posted positions in mineral core shift 2 or 3.
