Overtime Call-In. A. Employee will be paid one and one-half times their rate of pay for all hours actually worked beyond forty (40) hours per week. B. No work outside regularly scheduled hours may be performed without the express prior authorization of the responsible supervisor except in emergency situations. C. An employee who has been called in to work at a time not contiguous to his/her shift shall be paid one and one-half times the normal pay rate if the added time causes the actual hours worked in a week to be over 40 hours, otherwise it will be paid straight time. The employee will be paid a minimum of 3.5 hours for workers designation of 35 hours work week and 4.0 for workers designation of 40 hours work week, for a call-in and will be excused from duty when the work is completed unless his/her regular work time is commenced. D. The employee shall receive pay or compensatory time off at his/her option so long as it is not in conflict with F.L.S.A. rules and regulations. E. The following shall be regarded as hours worked for purposes of computing overtime: (1) All hours actually worked; (2) Holidays; (3) Vacation; (4) Compensatory time.

Overtime Call-In. (a) Employees who are willing to work overtime will be required to sign a weekly overtime call-in form provided by the Company. (b) This call-in form will be posted weekly from Tuesday to Friday and will cover the call-in period from Friday 07:00 hours to 07:00 hours the following Friday. (c) In the event of an emergency or unscheduled absences, those employees who have indicated their willingness to work overtime during the given period will be contacted. (d) Overtime will be distributed as equally as possible among the employees who have signed the call-in form and are capable of performing the required work. Preference will be given to employees that normally perform the work in question. (e) When overtime is necessary to complete a job already in progress, preference will be given to those who are already involved in that job. Special arrangements may be worked out between workers and supervisors, if necessary or desired.
Overtime Call-In. Lists There will be an overtime call-in list. Employees will be listed in order of seniority and will be rotated thereafter. If after the Employer has gone through the list and no one has agreed to work the time, the Employer will order in the employee with the least amount of overtime who is not working the shift that needs to be filled. No employees will be ordered to work more than twelve (12) hours in a work cycle, unless the employee and Employer are in mutual agreement. The twelve (12) hours can be either consecutive or split throughout the work cycle. A work cycle shall be defined as the beginning of an employee’s shift through the beginning of the employees next shift, which is defined as (24) twenty four hours. Employees who are working overtime on a scheduled off day shall not be required to work more than eight (8) consecutive hours in any given off day. For the purposes of the call-in list, only overtime worked as part of a full shift shall be counted. Employees on a forty (40) hour or more prior approved leave (e.g. vacation) will not be ordered for overtime except in case of emergency, as defined in Article 4. Employees will not be ordered in from the last scheduled shift before the vacation until the vacation is completed. During this period the employee will not be entitled to overtime opportunity unless the employees expressly make themselves available. If, during a preceding shift the need arises to have an employee work overtime, the supervisor may fill the vacancy by hold over overtime without use of the overtime list.
Overtime Call-In. Section 1. Overtime to be performed at the end of a shift will first be offered to the employee then working in the job where the overtime is to be worked with the exception of assembly cell overtime. Assembly cell overtime will be awarded to the highest senior qualified employee in the cell. If that employee declines the overtime, the overtime will then be offered by seniority to any qualified employee in the cell. The Company may not mandate overtime during the months of May 1- September 1 in any given year for non-fabrication departments. The Company may not mandate overtime during the months of April 15 – August 15 in any given year for Fabrication departments. Any fabrication employee mandated to work the scheduled weekend will be exempt from being mandated to work the next mandated weekend. Fabrication employees who are mandated to work a weekend shift may be excused from working that required shift provided they are able to obtain a replacement that has the skills and ability required to perform the necessary work. Such agreement must be approved in advance by the Supervisor. Fabrication employees who do not work their scheduled mandatory weekend shift due to having an approved Friday or Monday off under Section 6 of this Article, or have been approved for a replacement on their mandatory weekend or who volunteer and are approved as a replacement on their non-mandatory weekend, will not be exempt from being required to work their next mandated weekend. Section 2. In the event overtime is needed before a shift or on another day, the most senior person posted into or are assigned to a job/cell will be offered the overtime. If an employee offered such overtime declines the overtime, the overtime may then be offered to the next most senior qualified employee in the cell /job, then to the most senior employee who has established that he or she can effectively do the work. The Company will notify employees of scheduled weekend overtime no later than the end of their shift on the preceding Thursday. For all other overtime the Company will give twenty-four (24) hours notice. Section 3. Employees who accept an overtime assignment and fail to show up for work are subject to discipline. Section 4. In any dispute over whether an employee can effectively do the overtime work or has the required ability, the Company’s judgment shall be final unless shown by clear and convincing evidence to be arbitrary. Overtime Call-In. In the Fire Department, replacement staffing for short engine companies shall be taken from available personnel on duty. If there are no available replacements on duty, the parties agree that overtime call-out will be made in accordance with the Department's overtime policy.

Overtime Call-In. Article 13.09 of the Collective Agreement shall apply subject to the following criteria: only off duty personnel will be eligible for overtime call-in and an employee will not be eligible to work consecutive shifts. Overtime Call-In. (a) The following process will be recognized as the mutually agreed upon process for assigning overtime for Special Constables working the twelve (12) hour shift: Overtime will be called in as follows: 1.   • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Contractor Personnel – Reference Checks The Contractor warrants that all persons employed to provide service under this Contract have satisfactory past work records indicating their ability to adequately perform the work under this Contract. Contractor’s employees assigned to this project must meet character standards as demonstrated by background investigation and reference checks, coordinated by the agency/department issuing this Contract.

  • Overtime Entitlement (a) An employee will be entitled to compensation for authorized overtime in excess of: (1) the scheduled daily hours; or (2) the maximum daily hours for those employees on flextime; or (3) the agreed averaging period. (b) For the purposes of calculating the hourly rate for overtime, an employee's biweekly rate shall be divided by 70.
