RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. The president of the Association or his/her designee shall have the right to visit all buildings in the District to transact Association business, but all visitors must notify the building principal, and such Association business and visitation shall not be conducted during the contracted day without the permission of the respective building principals. Names and addresses of newly hired teachers will be provided to the Association upon Board approval of contracts. The Association shall be provided annually with the District’s seniority list inclusive of name, date of hire, seniority date, employment status (Limited or Continuing Contract) and access to the District’s directory of staff members to include worksite, grade level or assignment, so long as the District continues to maintain such a directory. The Association shall have access to the teachers’ mailboxes for distribution of Association related information. The Association shall be given a place on the new teacher orientation agenda for no less than thirty (30) minutes. If new teacher orientation is scheduled during work time for the Association representative(s), he/she/they shall be released from such work duties to participate during this time period without loss of pay or other benefits. All non-bargaining members shall be observers only during this portion of the orientation. The Association shall be given a thirty (30) minute timeslot at the conclusion of the District meeting on the first teacher work day. The president of the Association or his/her designee will be furnished with the tentative agenda for any regular Board meeting at least 24 hours in advance. The actual agenda will be furnished at all regular Board meetings. The Association shall have the right to use school buildings and facilities without charge for professional meetings at a time when the building is being heated and a custodian normally is on duty. At other times, the Association may use the buildings according to the regulations and rentals established by the business office. Placement of Association symbols on Board property shall be confined to Association bulletin boards. Any display of special program materials shall be in a timely manner and may appear on bulletin boards, classroom doors and other appropriate sites where building damage will not be incurred. RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. A. The Association and its members shall have the right to use school buildings and facilities at all reasonable hours for Association business subject to the existing or amended rules and regulations governing the use of school buildings and facilities.
B. Reasonable use of bulletin boards and interschool mail shall be made available to the Association and its members for notices and news of Association business.
C. Duly authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations.
D. A paid leave-of-absence to attend professional meetings, at the request of the Association, shall be granted without deduction from accumulated leave time. Such request shall include an authorization of the request by the Association. Leave days for Association purposes shall be at the expense of either the food service employee or the Association, except for a substitute, and shall be charged to the Association's ten (10) day allowance. A minimum charge of one-half (1/2) day will be used.
E. The Association recognizes that each employee must assume responsibility for filing a T.B. (Tuberculosis) report to the Personnel Office. Testing is to be done upon District request and at the District’s expense. Failure to file the T.B. report may result in withholding of paychecks until such filing has been complete.
F. Prior to the beginning of each school year, all food service personnel will have a complete physical examination upon request of the District. The District will provide a physical examination for each employee administered by a physician selected by the District. The District will provide the necessary form to be completed by the examining physician. When the District requests a tuberculin test, said test is to be arranged and paid for by the District.
G. The District and the Association mutually pledge themselves to continue to recognize the full constitutional and civil rights of all food service employees. No religious or political activities in the personal life of a food service employee, or the lack thereof, shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the employment of such food service employee. RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. 1. To attend Meetings and Conferences The Superintendent shall authorize up to three (3) days with pay per year to both the President of the Association and other delegates to represent the Association at the State Association Meeting. In addition, if a member of the bargaining unit is elected to a position of officer of the State Association or District Office of OAPSE and is eligible to attend the State OAPSE Conference, up to three (3) days with pay will be granted for his/her attendance.

4.2 The Diocese and Schools shall not discriminate against any teacher because of membership in or activity on behalf of the Association.
4.3 The President of the Association and authorized Representative(s) shall have the right to visit all schools in the Deaneries for the purpose of carrying out Association business. Such visits shall be made only upon prior notification to the school Principal that the purpose of the visit is for Association business. 4.4 By October 1st of each school year, the Superintendent shall supply to the Association President an accurate and complete list in the form of an electronic data file of all teachers in the schools of the Deaneries. This list shall include home addresses, and phone numbers. Upon request from the Association President, the list shall also include on a school-byschool basis, date of hire, years of experience granted for use on the salary scale, educational level attained, and health insurance coverage status. Also, if requested by the Association President, the list shall be updated on a periodic basis during the school year.
4.5 Representative(s) of the Association shall be permitted to transact Association business on school property at reasonable times mutually agreed upon by the Principal and designated representatives of the Association Executive Board, without charge, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations.
4.6 In each school the Association shall have at least one but no more than two internal members as its Building Representative(s), as defined in the Association's Constitution and bylaws, for purposes of liaison between the teachers and Principal in matters pertaining to the administration and application of this Agreement.
4.7 After election by the teachers, according to the Association's Constitution and bylaws, each school shall, upon notification by the Association, recognize the Building Representative(s) as the official Representative(s) of all teachers at the school in matters pertaining to the administration and application of this Agreement.
4.8 Meetings with the Principal: No person in attendance shall be denied scribing and retaining notes during the meeting.

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. A. The Association and its members will have the right to use school building facilities for meetings in accordance with school policy.
B. The Association shall, to the limit of its ability, assist individual members in honoring Board policies and administrative regulations.
C. Once a year, as required by the school district, and every five years as required by state law, bus drivers employed by the school district must take and pass a physical examination paid for at Board expense. This amount is paid directly to the health clinic at a cost determined by the district. All employees must complete and submit a general medical examination report as well as a tuberculin test upon initial employment at the employee's expense. Tuberculin tests must be periodically resubmitted as required by law at the employee's expense. Other than the above tests, should the district direct an employee to be examined by a Board appointed physician, such examination and reports shall be paid for by the Board.
D. Duly authorized Association representatives may be permitted to transact official Association business on school property provided that it shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operation.
E. Nothing in the Agreement shall be construed to deny or restrict an employee's rights under the Michigan General School Laws or applicable civil laws.
F. The employer will provide bulletin board space in each building, which may be used by the Association for posting official Association notices.
G. If an employee makes any suggestions that will make a substantial improvement in time and money, then a commendation from the appropriate administrator will be placed in the personnel file.
H. Minutes, agendas, and reports of all School Board Meetings will be sent to the Association office, Association officers, and Association representatives, as they appear in the files of the Board.
I. The Association and the Board will continue their policy of non-discrimination against any employee by reason of his/her race, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual preference, marital status, disability, religious belief, or membership or non-membership in, or association with or lack of association with, the activities of any employee organization. Xxxxxxxx to Act 379 of the Public acts of 1965, the Board hereby agrees that every employee of the Board covered in Article I shall have the right to freely organize, join, and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. The Board will not discriminate against any employee with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association, his/her participation in any activities of the Association, or collective professional negotiations with the Board.
B. The Association shall be allowed the use of school buildings for meetings without cost to the Association. The Association will submit their request through a building request form following established board policy.
C. The Association shall be allowed the use of inter-school mails for the circulation of publications and releases. However, the Association is responsible for any postage payment obligation.
D. The provisions of this agreement and the wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment shall be applied in a manner which is not arbitrary, discriminatory and without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national origin, sex, or marital status.
E. The Board agrees to furnish the Association in response to reasonable requests available information concerning the financial resources of the district and such other information as will assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed, and constructive programs on behalf of the Association.
F. The Association, upon application and approval by the superintendent, shall be granted up to five (5) days per year release time for handling Association business, without loss of salary or benefits to the authorized representative. The Association agrees to pay substitute costs incurred by the Board of Education.
X. Xxxx CSSA member will be given a complete job description. A complete file of all bargaining unit job descriptions will be given to the CSSA secretary and any additions, revision, or deletions in the job descriptions will be given to the secretary within two (2) weeks of said change.
X. The Board agrees to paid release time for the negotiation team if their work schedule conflicts so as not to allow schedule of meetings during their off-duty time.
