RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. 1. The Board agrees to provide the Union with the use of a serviced office, in an academic area of the School on the campus chosen by the Union after consultation with the Board on space that can be made available.
2. The Union shall have access to bulletin boards of reasonable dimensions and the internal postal service of the School. Normal practice of charging for external mail will apply.
3. Authorized representatives of the Union shall be permitted to transact official business of the Union with Members or with official representatives of the Board on the Board's property at any time provided such business shall not interfere with or interrupt normal operations.
4. The Board shall permit the Union to book and use School premises as meeting rooms on the same basis as School users.
5. The Board will allow the Union to use School printing, computer, and audio-visual facilities on the same basis as School users at the same rate as School users subject to availability. The Board will allow the Union to use School telephones with charges for long distance calls paid by the Union.
6. The President of the Union, or someone designated by the President of the Union, and a second Member designated by the President of the Union, shall have observer status at meetings of the Board of Directors. The President of the Union, or someone designated by the President of the Union, shall have observer status at the following bodies in the School: Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Board of Directors, Joint Senate Committee, Academic Council. The President or someone designated by the President shall receive notice of all meetings and all documentation circulated to members of these bodies, at the same time as members of those bodies and at the email address designated by the Union, except for documentation associated with closed session portions, and shall be entitled to attend all meetings except for closed session portions.
7. Work in any year by Members of the Bargaining Unit on the Union's Executive Committee, the Joint Health and Safety Committees, or other committees or sub- committees shall be considered by the Board as service to the academic community performed by the Member in any year. Such work shall be included in, and covered by, Articles 1.8, 2.1 to and including 2.15 (Public Liability Insurance, Academic and Professional Career).

RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. 7.1 All Employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall become and remain members of the Union as a term and condition of employment. The Employer shall inform new Employees prior to their being hired of this requirement.
7.2 Employees shall be entitled to use reasonable time during working hours for purposes of collective bargaining and to carry out the administration of this agreement. Time spent performing these functions shall be considered time worked for the Association.
7.3 Part-time casual Employees serving on the Employer-Employee Relations Committee shall be compensated at their normal rate for time spent in EERC meetings. If EERC meetings end early, the Employee shall be compensated for the time scheduled for the meeting.
7.4 Employees shall be entitled to reasonable time during working hours without loss of pay or benefits to attend meetings of the local Union. The Employer should be alerted ahead of time of the scheduling of such meetings and the time of absence of the employee(s).
7.5 The Union shall have the right, at any time, to have the assistance of representatives of Unifor and its local 567 in dealing or negotiating with the Employer. Such representatives shall have the right to contact workers at work on matters respecting this Agreement or its administration without loss of pay to the workers. They shall also have the right to access the Employer’s premises to assist in these matters and may, with prior notification, book the CUASA boardroom for Union business. The Employer shall have priority over the Union for the use of the boardroom.
7.6 The Employer agrees to deduct each month from the salaries of Employees the amount authorized as union dues and to transmit the monies as collected to the Union together with a list of Employees for whom such deductions were made. Such transmission shall occur no later than the 20th of the month following the month in which the deductions were made.
7.7 An Employee’s service to the Union shall be treated in the same manner as duties performed for the Association.
7.8 A Union representative shall have the right to make representations at Council meetings with the consent of the chair and as duly scheduled in the agenda.
7.9 Employees have the right to be accompanied by a representative of the Union at any meeting with the Employer regarding their terms and conditions of employment.

RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. SECTION 1. The Union shall have the right to designate representatives of the Union as an Officer, Executive Board Member, Chief Xxxxxxx or Xxxxxxx who shall not be discriminated against due to their legitimate union activity.
SECTION 2. The designated representatives of the Union shall have reasonable access to the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conferring with the Employer, representatives of the Union and/or employees in the bargaining unit for the purpose of administering this agreement subject to the conditions stated in Section 3.
SECTION 3. When a Union Representative wishes to visit the Employer’s premises, he shall advise the Associate Vice President for Human Resources or his/her designee of his visit and stated purpose. Visits by Union Representatives to bargaining unit employees shall be at such time and under such circumstances so as not to interfere with the normal work operation of the employees.
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. 7.4.1 The Employer agrees to provide the Union with reasonable office space, adequate telephone service, and reasonable use of the internal postal service of the Employer. A charge will be levied by the Employer for telephone and external postal services that is not otherwise paid for by the Union.
7.4.2 The Employer shall provide the Union, free of charge, with suitable meeting rooms on the Employer's premises for the conduct of Union business subject only to normal scheduling requirements and the payment of any extra costs that may be incurred in making special arrangements.
7.4.3 The Employer agrees that agents and representatives of the Union shall be permitted to conduct Union business on the premises of the Employer except when the Employer is closed during a strike or lock-out of the Union.
7.4.4 The Employer recognizes the right of Employees to participate in the business of the Union and, accordingly, all Employees shall be entitled to rearrangements in their normal duties, without loss of pay or benefits, for purposes of conducting the business of the Union, provided that satisfactory arrangements can be made with, and are approved by, the Vice President in charge to fulfil the responsibilities of Employees so engaged. Faculty will not request time off during a teaching week.
7.4.5 The Employer agrees that photocopying, printing and other reproduction services, computing facilities and audio-visual equipment of the Employer shall be available to the Union at current rates and subject to the normal scheduling arrangements.
7.4.6 The Employer agrees that the Union shall be entitled to have 1 observer on the Budget Committee of the Employer, as well as, such observers or representatives on other committees as is specified in this Agreement. Observers and representatives named by the Union shall be bound by the rules of confidentiality that apply to other committee members, except that such observers and representatives shall have the right to provide full information on the committee's procedures and deliberations to the Executive of the Union. 7.4.7 Representatives of the Union shall receive agendas, minutes, documentation and all information that is made available to the members of the Budget Committee. RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. A. The County agrees to make available to the Union all public information needed to process any grievance or complaint between the County and the Union.
B. Whenever any representative of the Union or an employee is mutually scheduled by the parties to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance procedures, conferences or meetings, he/she shall suffer no loss in pay.
C. The Union shall have the use of the bulletin boards and County mail system to contact their members.
D. Each member of the Union shall be provided with one (1) copy of the Agreement.
E. Employees who are subject to interviews which they reasonably believe may lead to disciplinary action against them shall have the right to request the presence of a Union Representative at such interviews.
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. A. Designated agents of the Union shall be allowed reasonable time off from their normal employment duties, without loss of pay, to engage in Union activity provided that such activity shall not substantially interfere with or interrupt the normal operations of the County. It is understood that all Union activity, of whatever kind or nature, shall take place only within the parameters of pre-arranged schedules, and at the locations listed therein, mutually agreed to by the Union and the County.
B. The Union shall be granted an aggregate of seventy-five (75)paid and seventy-five (75) unpaid days leave time in 2003, an aggregate of eighty (80) paid and eighty (80) unpaid days leave time in 2004 and 2005, and an aggregate of eighty-five (85) paid and eighty-five (85) unpaid days in 2006 to attend to Union business. However, in no event shall an employee be granted an aggregate to exceed ten (10) days per annum whether paid or unpaid except upon approval of the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Use of such days shall be at the sole discretion of the Union provided the Union gives two (2) weeks written notice. If less than two (2) weeks written notice is given, the leave time may be denied. Such denial shall not be arbitrarily or capriciously applied.
C. The Union will continue to have the right to place items on existing employee bulletin boards. Materials found posted on areas other than bulletin boards shall be removed.
D. Union stewards shall be the last to be involuntarily transferred from one work location to another or from one shift to another so long as it does not conflict with any State or Federal Rules, Regulations, or Laws. Work location shall be defined as one building, facility or complex.
E. The Union President, or other authorized representative will have access to the premises under the jurisdiction of the County and its offices during working hours provided such access does not interfere with the orderly operations of the Employer. Said representative will notify the appropriate County official of his/her presence.
F. Upon reasonable notice and approval of the appropriate County Official the Union may hold meetings on County premises during the lunch hour.
G. The Union may distribute literature to members of the Bargaining Unit on County premises, so long as it is not disruptive of County business.

RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. 1. The employer agrees to deduct weekly from the base pay of each employee who furnishes a written authorization for such deduction in a form acceptable to the Employer, the amount of monthly Union Dues. Dues shall be per month or such amount as may be certified by the CWA to the Employer at least thirty (30) days prior to the month in which the deduction of Union Dues is to be made. Deduction of Union Dues made pursuant hereto shall be remitted by the Employer to the CWA, c/o Secretary- Treasurer, Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, 0000 X Xxxxxx, X.X. Xxxxxxxxxx, XX 00000, by the 10th (tenth) calendar day after such deductions are made, together with a list of employees from whose pay such deductions were made. A copy of such list shall also be delivered to the Local CWA President. The CWA agrees to indemnify and hold the Township harmless against any, and all claims, suits, orders of judgments brought or issued against the Township with regard to the dues check-off, except for any claims that result from negligent or improper acts of Employer or its agent or servants.
2. Dues deduction may only be stopped if the employee so requests. Any such request must be in writing and submitted to the Township prior to December 15 of any given year. Dues shall be halted beginning with the first pay period of each calendar year.
3. The Township will immediately supply the Union a copy of any request to halt dues.
4. If, during the life of this Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Union shall furnish the Township written notice prior to the effective date of such change, and shall furnish the Township a certified copy of the Resolution, indicating dues changes and the effective date of such changes.
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. (a) The Employer agrees to provide the Union with the use of a private serviced office, in an academic area of the University. The office floor area shall be no less than the current space allocated to the Union.
(b) The Employer agrees to provide to the Union a common room for use by Members, Senior Administrators and their guests equivalent in size to room L-303.
2.40.2 The Union shall have access to the internal postal service of the University. Normal practice of charging for external mail will apply.
2.40.3 The Employer shall permit the Union to use University premises as meeting rooms on the same basis as University organisations.
2.40.4 The Employer will allow the Union to use University printing, computer, and audio-visual facilities at the same rate as University users, subject to availability.
2.40.5 The Employer agrees to continue to extend a monthly account, due when rendered, to which charges incurred by the Union shall be debited.
2.40.6 The Union may request, prior to May 8 of the preceding academic year, that Members be relieved by the appropriate Xxxx/University Librarian of up to twelve (12) credits of a teaching workload, or its equivalent in the case of the Library, during the course of an academic year. Such requests shall not be unreasonably refused. In any one academic year no more than thirty-six (36) credits of reductions will be granted in total.
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE UNION. A. The Employer agrees to make available to the Union all available public information concerning negotiable matters between the County and the Union necessary to process any grievance or complaint. All requests shall be made through the Employee Relations Department. No confidential labor relations information shall be made available at any time to the Union if the disclosure of same would in any way undermine the bargaining position of the County.
B. Whenever any representative of the Union or a supervisor is mutually agreed by the County and the Union to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance procedures, labor relations, conferences or meetings, he/she shall suffer no loss in pay. The person involved has the responsibility of notifying the employee's immediate supervisor.
C. The Union has the right to utilize any supervisory bulletin board that currently exists and inter-office mail facilities of the County to contact members of the bargaining unit.
