WORKING DAYS AND HOURS. 4.1.1. The Employee shall work on a full time basis, at least forty-two (42) hours per week; the weekly day of rest of the Employee shall be Saturday.
4.1.2. The working hours shall be as may be required in accordance with his Position and tasks and the Employee acknowledges that he will be required to work overtime.
4.1.3. As the terms of the Employee’s employment do not allow the Company to supervise his work and rest hours, at least a substantial part of the working hours, the Company cannot manage and record his work and rest hours in the attendance recording system. The pay slip of the Employee will contain an appropriate comment on the subject in accordance with the applicable law. Notwithstanding, the Employee shall report his attendance whenever possible.
WORKING DAYS AND HOURS. 1. The length of the school year for regular teachers is 185 days. New teachers work 186 days. The 185-day school year includes reporting to work two days prior to the first day of classes and three in-service days during the year. Activities on the workdays prior to the first day of classes shall be determined by the District but one day is intended as an on-site individual teacher classroom preparation day with group activities only if mutually agreeable at the site. New teachers who participate in the Teacher Induction Program shall attend required TIP training activities. Those teachers shall be granted at their request release days required by the TIP during the work year as mutually agreed upon.
2. The first day and the last day of the school year for all schools is a minimum school day for students. Unit members are required to complete an end-of-the-year checkout procedure verified by their principal. In no instance is regular class time to be used by unit members for the purpose of individual closing out or end-of-the-year duties.
3. The working day for unit members shall not exceed 360 minutes of pupil contact time inclusive of the thirty (30) minutes unit members are required to report before class begins, but excluding not less than a thirty (30) sequential minute duty-free lunch period. Pupil contact time includes regular classroom time, pupil passing time, recess, and specific guidance periods, but does not include on-site preparation time or period however utilized by the unit member. Further, unit members are expected to participate in various school related duties that are generally accepted as professional duties outside the maximum pupil contact time. The District shall endeavor to minimize the frequency of staff meetings and to insure such meetings, when conducted, are not excessive in length. Where possible, twenty-four (24) hour notice of a scheduled staff meeting, as well as an agenda, will be posted. Where possible forty-eight (48) hour notice will be given for site administrator initiated Junior High School and High School all-teacher student conferences and discretion shall be exercised by the administrator in identifying teacher participants.
4. The District agrees that only one unit member be required to be on playground duty and another on bus duty at any one time at any one school, except that one more unit member may be required to be on playground duty when the physical setting makes it impossible to supervise the playground...
WORKING DAYS AND HOURS. A. The CACC calendar (Appendices D, E and F) shall be regarded as part of this Agreement. All bargaining unit members work schedules shall follow the adopted calendar.
B. Teachers shall work a minimum of 7.5 hour day which will include a thirty (30) minute duty free lunch period. However, the amount of student instruction time within the work day may be increased if it is necessary to do so to meet State of Michigan requirements regarding hours of pupil instruction or to receive full State aid. Upon request of the Association, the Board and Association will bargain regarding how the regular instructional day will be adjusted to meet the latter requirements. The aforementioned number of hours in the work day refers to the regular instructional day and does not refer to those days which are longer because of activities such as staff meetings; training or professional development; open houses; parent/ teacher meetings; and advisory committee meetings. It is recognized that daily preparation for effective teaching and duties, responsibilities and activities related to teaching require many hours of application outside the normal instructional day and add to the professional responsibilities of teachers. Teachers shall be free to leave after student dismissal on Fridays or the day before a holiday. The aforementioned number of hours (7.5) in a regular instructional work day does not refer to a Professional Development Day (PDD). The district’s obligation to provide 5 PDDs to a bargaining unit member will be met by providing 30 hours of PD per year. A bargaining unit member’s PDD is 7 hours and includes 6 hours of PD, a 15 minute break in the a.m. and p.m. and a duty-free lunch period of 30 minutes. If the duty-free lunch is expanded to 60 minutes, the PDD is 7 ½ hours. Three and ½ days of the PDDs will be scheduled on the calendar (21 hours). Nine (9)) hours of PD will be provided and accounted for in one hour increments and scheduled at the end of an instructional work day.
C. It is recognized that the nature of the CACC operation is such that the starting and ending times for students shall be flexible and the Board shall have the right to change or stagger such times. WORKING DAYS AND HOURS. Working days and hours are set forth in the Work Plan. If Contractor elects to perform operations in excess of those set forth in the Work Plan and Developer concurs, Contractor shall pay for all costs associated with the additional hours. Contractor shall obtain approval from Developer in writing prior to altering work schedule. All “off-hour” work permits are at the Contractor’s sole cost and expense.

2. For senior worker - the regular working hours of the Worker will be up to 8 hours per day (not including breaks as set hereunder) for a 5 day work week and no more than 40 hours per week or 176 hours per month.
b. The working day will be during one of the following shifts: • Evening shift – at least three of its hours are between 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. • Night shift – at least two of its hours are between 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. • Morning shift – a shift that isn't an evening or night shift.
c. In case the Worker is requested to split his shift due to Employer's need, the break between the splited shift shall not last more than 3 hours, in accordance with Work and Rest Hours Law, 1951.
d. On the day before the Worker's weekly rest day, the working day will be 7 hours, and the Worker will be entitled to a payment for 8 working hours.
e. On days prior to holidays (excepting Israel's Independence day), the working day will be 6 hours, and the Worker will be entitled to payment for 8 working hours.
f. Concerning a Senior Worker –
1. On a night shift the worker will work for 6 hours and 20 minutes, and will be paid for 8 hours. If the Worker works less than 6 hours and 20 minutes, his payment will be computed proportionally.
2. On an evening shift the Worker will work for 7 hours and 20 minutes, and will be paid for 8 hours. If the Worker's shift is longer than 5 hours, the Worker will be entitled to a completion of 40 minutes relatively to the actual working time completed.
g. Junior Worker –
1. Working on a night shift will work for 7 hours and will be paid for 8 hours.
2. On an evening shift the payment will be according to the actual working hours.
h. The provisions set out above will not derogate from the Worker's rights under the Israeli Work and Rest Hours Law, 1951, concerning night work as defined in that law e.g. work done for at least 2 hours between 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
i. The weekly working schedule of the Worker will be set by the Employer as is customary in the work place. The Worker will be notified about the weekly work schedule. The Worker will not have a vested right to a specific day off, except his regular weekly rest day.
