WAGE RULES. 19.1 The minimum hourly rates set forth on Classification Wage Scales attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement shall prevail on and after the effective date as set forth in Article 23 of this Agreement.
19.2 No employee shall suffer any reduction in hourly rate as a result of this Agreement.
19.3 Employees shall be paid by automatic deposit to their account and in conformance with the policy of the Company. In no event will an employee not be afforded an opportunity to receive two (2) payments per month from the Company for work performed. In the event a regular pay day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the Company will have pay checks prepared and distributed on the day preceding such Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. It is Company policy to abide by Hawaii State law and to make employees' checks available by the end of their normal work shifts on established pay days.
19.4 When there is a shortage of one day's pay or more in the pay due to an employee, the Company shall, at the employee's request, issue a supplementary payroll check to cover the shortage as soon as reasonably possible and within seventy-two (72) hours after it is determined what is due.
19.5 A statement of all wages and deductions made for the pay period will accompany the employee's pay check, and upon his request his time record will be made available for his inspection.
19.6 Employees leaving the service of the Company will be given their final pay checks within forty-eight (48) hours after final clearance at points where payroll offices are located, or mailed within seventy-two (72) hours at other points, or earlier when possible.
19.7 Employees recalled to work from a layoff will be paid the current rate applicable to the job recalled for in accordance with the terms of the contract in effect as of the date of recall.
19.8 All full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be paid a shift premium, as set out below, as additional hourly compensation over the rate paid on day shifts for all hours worked. Any shift starting at 11:00 A.M. or later and before 5:00 P.M. shall be considered an afternoon shift. Any shift starting at 5:00 P.M. or later and before 5:00 A.M. shall be considered a night shift. WAGE RULES. A. Employees shall be paid during their regular working hours, bi-weekly on the Friday following the end of the preceding two (2) week period. Should the regular pay day fall on a holiday, Employees will be paid on the day preceding the holiday. Every effort will be made to continue the current practice of second and third shift Employees receiving their paycheck during their shift on Thursday.
B. In the event that an Employee’s pay check is short eight (8) or more hours pay through Company error, then, upon request from the Employee, the Company will correct the discrepancy and make payment within five (5) business days of the Employee’s submittal of a payroll resolution to his Supervisor.
C. No Employee shall, as a result of this Agreement, suffer a reduction from the rate of pay he is receiving for his classification on the effective date of this Agreement.
D. An Employee temporarily assigned during his shift to a lower rated classification shall not have his rate of pay reduced for the period of the temporary assignment.
E. Employees assigned by the Company temporarily to a premium pay position (e.g. lead) will receive the premium pay for the entire shift. Such temporary assignments will be by seniority among available qualified Employees. As a result of the assignment to a premium position, the Company waives disciplinary action for operational decisions made by a Mechanic with less than one (1) year of Mechanic experience.
F. 1. An Employee promoted to a higher rated positionclassification as set forth in Article 2.B. of the Agreement will receive the starting new rate for the new positionclassification beginning on the day after the bid is awarded, or his existing rate, whichever is greater, and will thereafter progress on the scale for the new position classification based upon the date of entry into the classification.
WAGE RULES. (a) The minimum hourly base rates set forth in Schedule A become effective January 1, 2010; all other changes in this Agreement become effective August 27, 2010, unless otherwise specified.
(b) No employee paid by the hour or week shall suffer any reduction in hourly rate or weekly gross pay for a standard 40-hour work week inclusive of meal periods as a result of making this Agreement effective and nothing in this Agreement shall be considered as preventing increases in individual rates or classification over and above the minimum established.
(c) Employees shall be paid during their regular working hours, bi-weekly on Friday, unless otherwise provided by applicable state laws. The employees will have available the opportunity to have electronic deposit of their paycheck.
(d) Paychecks will include a statement of all wages and deductions made for the pay period.
(e) Should the regular pay day fall on a holiday, or days when the shop or Facility is closed down, employees will be paid on the preceding day.
(f) If an employee is assigned to a senior classification or ramp and/or weight balance duties for a period of one (1) day or more, he shall be paid the equivalent daily rate for the job classification in which he substitutes. It is understood that this will be full and final payment for services provided on these days regardless of the hours involved.
(g) Wage increases are shown on Schedule A.
WAGE RULES. (A) Accredited Service with the Company, for determining Longevity Pay increments, shall be defined as; active service on the Company’s payroll in any capacity except such service prior to Resignation, Discharge or Lay-off when Recall Rights have expired. Leaves counting towards Accredited Service are the entire duration of Military Service Leave or Union Business Leave, On the Job Injury, and Leave of Absence up to a maximum of six (6) months.
(B) An employee assigned to a Shift that begins at or after 17:00 and before 06:00 shall receive a Shift Differential of thirty cents (0.30¢) per hour. No Shift Differential shall be received by an employee assigned to a Shift which begins at or after 06:00 and before 17:00.
(C) An employee shall receive the Shift Differential applicable to his Regular Shift Assignment for all work performed while he is so assigned, including Overtime.
(D) Employees required to rotate through shifts involving a day shift and night shift or vice versa shall receive a Shift Differential of twenty cents (0.20¢) per hour for all hours worked during the Workweek. Such rotating shifts shall be filled first by the Most Senior Qualified employees who volunteer for such shifts. In the event that an insufficient number of employees volunteer to fill the necessary rotating shifts, such unselected shifts shall be filled by assignment of the Junior Most Qualified employees.
(E) If an employee voluntarily transfers from a higher Job Classification to a lower Job Classification, and if the Company agrees to such a transfer, the employee shall be paid the highest Regular Rate of Pay his Seniority will allow in the lower Job Classification.
(F) An employee who is promoted to a higher Job Classification shall not be paid less than the Regular Rate of Pay he received at the time of promotion or less than the lowest Regular Rate of Pay of the higher Job Classification.
WAGE RULES. (a) The minimum hourly rates set forth in Appendix A attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement shall prevail after the date of Agreement, with the exception of pay rates and longevity provisions set forth in Appendix A which became effective after the date of this Agreement.
(b) No employee paid by the hour or week shall suffer any reduction in hourly rate or weekly take home pay for a standard 40-hour work week as a result of making this Agreement effective, and nothing in this Agreement shall be considered as preventing increases in individual rates or classifications over and above the minimum established.
(c) All employees will be paid through direct deposit, weekly. Staff will be required to fill out the necessary forms and file the needed information with the Payroll Unit. Staff paid by electronic funds transfer will have their pay available to them no later than Friday.
(d) Pay checks will include a statement of all wages and deductions made for the pay period. The employee's statement shall include the number of hours worked and the overtime pay shall be listed separately from straight time.
(e) Should the regular payday fall on a holiday, or days when the shop or facility is closed down, employees will be paid on the preceding day.
(f) Employees recalled to work from a lay-off shall be returned to their former position, if the job still exists, and shall not be paid a lower rate than they were receiving prior to the lay-off, unless a new contract as to wages shall at the time of recall be in effect between the Company and the Union, provided that if the job does not exist, the recalled employee shall receive the rate of the job accepted.
(g) If an employee is assigned to a supervisory capacity for a period of one day or more, he shall be paid the equivalent daily rate of the minimum base rate for the job classification in which he substitutes. It is understood that this will be full and final payment for services provided on these days regardless of the hours involved.
(h) Nothing in this Agreement shall prevent the Company from paying to an individual employee, a higher rate of compensation than the rate established in Appendix A of this Agreement. When a new employee is hired in any mechanical classification under this Agreement the Company may recognize his previous experience in the type of work for which he is hired by awarding him a starting rate higher than the minimum for the classification.

WAGE RULES. No wage rate of pay will be adjusted, either upward or downward, during the life of this Agreement except by mutual agreement between the Union and the Company. No employee shall suffer a reduction in his or her wage rate of pay as a result of the new wage schedule in this Agreement. Schedule A will be a part of this Agreement. Wages for production employees will be increased by in the first year of the contract and by in the and year of the contract. Wages for skill trades employees will be increased by in the first year of the contract and in the and year of the contract. An employee required to work various shifts is eligible to receive a shift differential premium in accordance with hours worked. A shift starting between and is a day shift. Employees working a day shift will be compensated at straight time. A shift starting between and is an afternoon shift. Employees working an afternoon shift will be compensated at straight time plus a shift differential of sixty-five cents ($0.65) per hour. A shift starting between and is a night shift. Employees working a night shift will be compensated at straight time plus a shift differential of seventy cents ($0.70).
WAGE RULES. 21.01 Company shall pay the scale of wages included in Appendix A made a part hereof.
21.02 For the purpose of this Agreement, an employee’s straight time hourly rate of pay is defined as the employee’s base hourly rate of pay as listed in appendix A plus all premiums and differentials agreed to in this Agreement.
21.03 Employees promoted or temporarily assigned to another job classification shall receive the rate of that job classification or continue at their present rate, whichever is greater. If temporarily assigned, they shall, upon return to their prior classification, assume the rate held prior to the temporary assignment.
21.04 Employees covered herein shall be paid on Fridays for the work week ending the preceding Friday. A pay period shall run seven (7) consecutive days, Saturday through the following Friday. Excluding any times that Acts of God or circumstances beyond the Company's control cause pay checks to be unavailable on the regularly scheduled pay day, the Company will distribute pay cheeks as soon as possible.
WAGE RULES. A. The rates set forth in Appendix A attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement shall prevail on and after the effective date indicated thereon.
B. When a new job classification, in addition to those listed in Appendix A, is created, the wage rate therefore, shall be determined by negotiation between the Company and the Business Representative of the Union.
C. Pay increases or decreases shall become effective on the date of implementation of a new classification.
D. Payday is to be Friday by 4:30 pm for the two weeks period ending in the previous calendar week. If Friday is a holiday, Thursday is to be payday. A payroll checks delivery delay caused by the U. S. Mail or other carrier shall be deemed an act beyond the control of the Company.
E. Employees temporarily assigned by the Company to work during hours other than their regularly scheduled working and/or shift hours, shall be paid a premium of twelve percent (12%) of his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked outside of their regularly scheduled working hours. The twelve percent (12%) premium will not be paid for any hours for which an employee is compensated at his overtime rate of pay. No premium payment of any kind shall be made to any employee who has requested an assignment outside of his regularly scheduled working and/or shift hours. For purposes of this paragraph, a temporary assignment shall be defined as an assignment of thirty (30) working days or less.
F. Employees designated leads shall receive a premium paid at eight percent (8%) of his straight time hourly rate.
G. Employees who are called back to work after completing their normal work day, or called in on a day on which they are not normally scheduled to work, shall receive a minimum of one (1) hour of overtime work, and 3 hours of pay based on the employees regular straight time hourly rate.
H. It is agreed that LJT may exercise its Company Peer Recognition and/or other Management Rewards Programs at its discretion. The IAM&AW further agrees that such Company Rewards shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration process.
I. An employee required to call-in for work schedule information shall receive one (1) hour of pay at their regular hourly rate of pay. This Call-In Premium shall be paid in addition to any hours worked and shall be paid regardless of hours worked or not.

19.2 For the purpose of this Agreement, an employee's straight time hourly rate of pay is defined as the employee's base hourly rate of pay as listed in Appendix A plus all premiums and differentials agreed to in this Agreement, including an additional longevity pay of 2% to employees with 10 or more years at the FRC Southwest program; these percentages are in addition to the base rate of pay.
19.3 Employees temporarily promoted to a higher job classification shall receive the rate of the job classification they are temporarily assigned to. They shall, upon return to their prior classification, assume the rate held prior to the temporary assignment as directed. An employee temporarily assigned to a lower paying job will continue to receive their normal rate of pay.
19.4 When a temporary or regular situation occurs, such as loss of funding, or transfer of work on the site, that would cause a reduction in any job classification, the junior employee(s) in the classification, will be offered the opportunity to displace the least senior employee(s), in descending order of pay grade. Senior employees may bump into another job classification provided they are qualified.

Employees recalled to work from a layoff shall be returned to their former position, if the job still exists, and shall not be paid at a lower rate than they were receiving prior to the layoff, unless a new contract as to wages shall at the time of recall be in effect between the Company and the Union, provided that if the job does not exist the recalled employee shall receive the job rate of the job accepted.
