Overtime Guidelines. 1. The Security personnel assigned to the school where the event will be held will get first choice of the overtime by classification seniority. If the most senior Security staff person declines, or if additional security is required, refer to the district-wide seniority list for Security personnel. 2. Facilities that do not have regularly assigned Security personnel shall have additional time scheduled through the District-wide seniority list for Security personnel.

Overtime Guidelines a. These overtime guidelines do not apply to the continuation of regular workday assignment needs, emergency overtime needs, and occupational/classification specific needs. b. Every effort will be made to be fair in assigning scheduled overtime on a rotational basis, while at the same time addressing the skills, work site and workload needs relevant to the overtime assignment. c. If no one on a “high school or middle school site” rotation list accepts the overtime assignment offer, then the offer will be made to the partnering/regional high school and middle school rotation list. d. Overtime duties resulting from emergent situations or unscheduled/unanticipated needs shall not be addressed through a rotation schedule. e. Each Department Manager will survey staff and develop a scheduled overtime rotation list including those employees who would like to participate in scheduled overtime. The rotation lists will be based upon their District longevity date. Each site will have rotation lists based upon job classification. Every effort will be made to fill overtime assignments with the appropriate classification and skill set. Custodial Site Supervisors shall be part of the scheduled overtime rotation list. f. If an employee on the scheduled overtime rotation list declines or accepts an offer of overtime, then that employee will not be offered additional overtime assignments until everyone else on the rotation list has been offered an overtime assignment. g. If an employee is on (A.) an unscheduled evaluation plan and/or (B.) a performance improvement work plan, then that employee shall not be offered scheduled overtime. h. An employee who has been disciplined in writing for engaging in misconduct shall be suspended from receiving overtime opportunities, for a period not to exceed one year from the date of the disciplinary documentation. The length of the suspension will be at management’s discretion and based upon the severity of the misconduct. i. Scheduled overtime assignments shall be a minimum of two hours. Employees are expected to perform work duties for the entirety of the two hours and shall be paid for the hours and minutes that they are actually performing work duties. j. However, employees who are scheduled to work overtime to open, close and secure outside fields for non-district sponsored groups shall receive a minimum of one hour of overtime to open the event and one hour of overtime to close the event. Overtime Guidelines. 16.01 Consistent with Article 15, overtime is to be equalized among employees in each department and amongst employees within the same Job Classification who have the skill, ability and qualifications to effectively perform such overtime work. The differential in total overtime hours worked or refused in each job classification shall be kept to a maximum thirty (30) hours. However, the Union may bring any particular problem regarding inequitable distribution among employees to the attention of the Production Manager, or his designate, and the parties will endeavor to find a satisfactory solution in an expedient and equitable manner. 16.02 The company will endeavor to provide employees with as much advance notice as is practical of the required overtime. 16.03 Overtime hours are to be cumulative commencing with the signing of the Collective Agreement, and zeroed out at the completion of each contract year of the said agreement. 16.04 All overtime hours are to be marked on a posted overtime list by job classification whether worked or refused (if refused, mark with an R). The hours are to be marked as a running total and updated on a weekly basis. Statutory holidays will be recorded as one and a half (1.5) times hours worked/refused to reflect the difference in overtime bonus. 16.05 For weekends, overtime will be offered to employees without regard to the shift worked during the previous week. 16.06 In the following circumstances, an employee will be given the average overtime hours worked/refused by the employees in that job classification during the absence: (i) an employee returns from a group insurance claim (STD); (ii) an employee returns from a workers compensation claim; (iii) an employee returns from an approved leave of absence; (iv) an employee is transferred into a new job classification; (v) an employee is transferred into a new department; (vi) an union representative is on union business for three (3) days or More; (vii) an employee is on disciplinary suspension for any reason. When an employee is absent as per above he/she shall be given the weekly average of overtime hours worked/refused by the crew during the time off. This is calculated by dividing the total overtime hours worked/refused in the job classification (weekly basis) by employees in that classification, divided by the total number of employees within that particular overtime list or job classification. 16.07 Employees on vacation will not have their overtime adjusted whatsoever. ...
Overtime Guidelines. 1. Earned Time will not be counted as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime. 2. There shall be no pyramiding of overtime. Therefore, overtime on a daily basis will not be included in the calculation for overtime on a weekly basis. 3. All overtime must be pre-approved by the appropriate supervisor or his/her designee. 4. Overtime pay will be compensated at time and one-half. If both the employee and Employer agree, the employee may receive time and one-half off in lieu of overtime pay. The time and one-half off option must occur in the pay period in which the overtime occurred. 5. Overtime will be offered to employees as follows: a. For Engineering Services, Patient Escort, and Food and Nutrition Services, within the job title by bargaining unit seniority; b. For Environmental Services, within the department by bargaining unit seniority rotation. 6. Employees assigned to work eight (8) or more hours beyond their scheduled quit time will be allowed, at their option, to not have to report to work should there not be twelve (12) consecutive hours off before their next scheduled start time. An employee practicing this option is required to notify the appropriate supervisor of his/her intent not to report for his/her next scheduled shift before completing the extra duty. The employee must indicate his/her intent regarding use of ET. 7. All paid hours of vacation, holidays or scheduled earned time as they are used shall be considered as time worked for the purposes of overtime. 8. Overtime hours for all employees in each job title shall be posted monthly on the unit or department and a copy shall be forwarded to the Union upon request. 9. Overtime shall not be mandated for the sole purpose of providing coverage for planned vacations or foreseeable leaves of absence.

The Plan, attached as Appendix “A”, shall remain in effect for the duration of the Collective Agreement. • Any general wage increases in the remaining term shall be determined in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement regarding Impact of Bargaining with IBEW, IAM and CEP. Overtime Guidelines. Overtime work will first be offered to employees on lay-off by seniority and qualifications at their regular rate of pay when practical to do so. Every attempt will be made to schedule this employee for full hours for the pay period before recalling the next senior employee on lay- off. If the need for overtime arises, the canvassing procedure noted below will be used. In all cases, the “24 Hour Rule” will be utilized when determining the sequence of canvassing. For clarification, the “24 Hour Rule” is defined as follows: A senior employee will require a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours more accumulated overtime before the next qualified junior employee is awarded overtime. Overtime hours will be updated on a daily basis. Employees will not be eligible for overtime requirements if it conflicts with their regularly scheduled shifts. Employees will be contacted at their last known home telephone number. If it is not possible to speak to the employee directly, he/she will be deemed to be unavailable to work. When offered the opportunity to work, employees are required to respond within five (5) minutes as to their acceptance. The Company will not be required to delay canvassing if someone is unsure of their availability. If overtime is required for two (2) hours or less at the beginning or end of a shift, the Company may ask the person on shift to stay over or call in a person from the following shift to come in early until other arrangements are made. When working a 3 shift / 8 hour schedule, the employee on shift has the option to stay and work eight (8) hours if required.
Overtime Guidelines. The EMS Department complies with the Fair Labor Standards Act. At no time shall any of these guidelines limit or prohibit the daily operations of the unit and its ability to cover overtime shifts. A. The EMS Chief or shift command will determine placement of officers working overtime. B. Lieutenants' positions will be filled the same as shift officer slots. 1. If another lieutenant does not cover the lieutenant position, the senior shift officer will assume shift command. C. As overtime arises the positions will be filled in list order. 1. The overtime list will be created by the EMS Chief and updated by the Chief / or designated officer. 2. The list will be updated on an as needed basis as overtime is filled moving officers to the bottom of the list. 3. Officer's list positions will not change if worked overtime is 12 hours or less. 4. If officer refuses overtime the list position will not change. 5. Officers forced to work overtime will not be moved on the list. D. Triple shifts will be avoided if at all possible. To avoid this, officers not causing triples will be offered those shifts first. E. All attempts will be made to not force officers to work triples. F. Officers will not be forced to work two consecutive overtime shifts back to back. G. At no time will two probationary employees or PRN employees work together on the same truck during the same shift. H. PRN employees will be offered overtime as the EMS Chief deems necessary. I. While on suspension or sick leave, officers are not eligible to work overtime. X. Xxxxxxxx to contact officers for shift coverage will be made as time permits, if contact is not made the officer will be skipped and his/her list position will not be changed. K. Overtime pay will be paid at a predetermined rate. Overtime pay for extra shifts worked (overtime) will be paid at a rate of $20.60 per hour or 1.5 times the regular rate of pay, whichever is greater.
