GENERAL RULES AND WORKING CONDITIONS. Section 6.01 When conditions require that an employee shall work a distance from his headquarters and remain on said work overnight, Cooperative, at its option, shall either provide transportation, meals, or lodging, or reimburse to a reasonable amount for expenses actually incurred for transportation, meals, or lodging. When employees are required to continue work until 6:00 p.m., they shall be reimbursed for an evening meal not to exceed five dollars ($5.00) when eaten away from home and a receipt of purchase is obtained. Meal is to be eaten on employee time unless he returns to work. Section 6.02 Employees laid off because a job is completed or shut down for reasons beyond Cooperative’s control shall be paid in full to and on the date of layoff. Section 6.03 The following will be recognized as holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve afternoon, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve afternoon and employee’s own birthday or the days celebrated therefor--should Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on Saturday or Sunday, the Friday afternoon preceding these days will be the days for celebration. Each employee hired prior to July 1, 1995, will be allowed three (3) additional personal holidays each calendar year. These holidays may be designated by the employee giving management of the Cooperative at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice that the holidays will be taken. A personal holiday shall not be used immediately prior to or subsequent to a vacation period, and it is further agreed that on personal holidays at least one (1) employee must remain on the job. In the event all employees were to ask for the same day as a personal holiday, the qualified employee with the least seniority may be required to select an alternate date. Employee shall not be required to work on the above holidays and shall receive eight (8) hours pay for each holiday or the day celebrated therefor. Employee’s own birthday as set forth above shall be observed on the calendar date on which the birthday falls or on a date which the employee may choose, preferably in the same calendar week. GENERAL RULES AND WORKING CONDITIONS. Section 11.01 Five (5) consecutive working days shall constitute a workweek on all jobs, Monday through Friday, inclusive. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a workday. The regular hours for employees covered by this Agreement shall be 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. with thirty (30) minutes off for lunch. Established practice shall govern in all other cases. All employees covered hereunder shall be paid as herein provided only for time actually worked except such pay as herein provided while on vacation or sick leave. These hours may be changed on a weekly basis by mutual agreement of the Cooperative and the employees. All terms of this agreement, such as meal periods, vacation, overtime, etc. will be changed for the agreed period of time to mirror the intent of the workweek above and shall be agreed upon before the end of the previous Friday before the workweek is changed. Section 11.04 One (1) employee, on a rotation basis, shall be scheduled to receive on-call overtime on Sundays and Holidays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., at Xxxxxxxxx, Xxxxx City, McLeansboro, Norris City, Carmi and Albion. The minimum pay for such on-call duty shall be two and one-half (2½) hours at double time; the employees on call shall be paid at xxxxxxx’x rate of pay. This compensation is in addition to all hours worked. In the event such on-call employee leaves home, the employee shall leave word with some designated person where he/she can be quickly reached. The personnel to be assigned to or alternated shall be mutually agreed upon by the parties hereto. Flextime may be permitted with mutual consent of the supervisor and in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. There are some positions that do not lend themselves to the application of flextime. Flextime should not cause a hardship on the Cooperative. 5.2 When conditions require that an employee shall work at a distance from their permanent headquarters and remain away from their permanent headquarters overnight, the Cooperative shall either provide meals and lodging or reimburse to a reasonable amount for expenses actually incurred for meals (excluding alcoholic beverages) and lodging. 5.3 In the event an employee is required to temporarily report to an alternate location, and under normal working hours, the Employee shall be compensated in the following instance. If the alternate location is further than what the employee drives to their normal reporting headquarters, the Cooperative shall pay the excess mileage according to the IRS rate and the excess drive time at the rate of time and one-half in fifteen-minute increments. Any unusual circumstances that may occur from such a transfer will be taken into consideration. The Cooperative will give as much notice as possible before making a temporary transfer. 5.4 If employees are asked to work overtime during the meal periods listed below, the Cooperative will furnish a meal, and the Cooperative will furnish a meal for each continuous five (5) hour period of overtime worked thereafter. GENERAL RULES AND WORKING CONDITIONS. (A) Eight (8) hours shall constitute a regular day’s work and five (5) consecutive days shall constitute the regular week’s work for employees, Monday to Friday, inclusive. Workmen are to report at 7:30 a.m. to their respective headquarters and be returned to their respective headquarters at 3:30 p.m. Employees shall be entitled to a twenty (20) minute paid lunch period beginning at 12:00 noon provided said time period may be changed when it interferes with maintaining or restoring continuous electrical service to the members. Lunch periods are to be taken at the job site. (B) Four (4) day, ten (10) hour per day, work week schedules may be utilized upon mutual agreement between the Cooperative and the employees under the following stipulations: (1) The schedule will be Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. (2) The hours will be 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (3) During the week of a holiday, those working a four (4) day, ten (10) hour per day schedule, will revert back to the schedule stated in Section 5.01 (A). (4) The breakfast meal period time will move to 5:30 a.m. The lunch period meal time will move to 11:00 a.m. The supper/dinner meal period time will move to 6:00 p.m. (5) The hours stated in Section 5.6 refer to the schedule stated in Section 5.1 (A). When an employee is working a four (4) day, ten (10) hour per day schedule, the hours stated in Section 5.6 are to be adjusted respectively. (6) Paid days not worked, for any reason, will be paid in the same hourly increments as the schedule the individual employee is working (no benefit levels are increased due to an employee working a four (4) day, ten (10) hour per day schedule). (7) Schedule changes may be requested by either party, upon mutual agreement, as long as a five (5) working day notice is given.
GENERAL RULES AND WORKING CONDITIONS. Sec. 10.01 The schedule of wage rates set forth in Appendix A, attached hereto, shall become effective on January 1, 2020. 10.02 Wages shall be paid every two weeks on Friday, except when Friday is a holiday and then payday shall be on the Thursday before, for all wages earned up to and through the preceding Saturday. 10.03 Employee pay will be distributed by electronic direct deposit. Insufficient fund charges incurred by the employee as the result of the Company’s failure to have the pay at the employee’s banking facility by 10:00AM will be reimbursed to the employee by the Company. 10.05 No employee covered by this Agreement shall absent himself from duty without securing permission from the Supervisor before so doing, and in case of illness shall use every effort to notify the Supervisor in ample time before working hours. 10.06 When an employee is temporarily assigned to a higher rated classification, they shall during such period receive the rate of pay of the classification to which they are so assigned; and when an employee is temporarily assigned to a lower rated classification they shall receive the rate of pay of their regular classification. 10.07 Employees who are qualified to perform the work will be rotated into standby status at the Company's discretion. Employees who are so assigned will carry a cell phone at all times and will be expected to respond in a timely manner when contacted for emergency calls. The initial standby list will be created based on the most current seniority list. After an employee completes a standby assignment they will go to the bottom of the list. 10.08 When conditions require that an employee work or attend training outside Local 702 jurisdiction, the Company, at its option, shall either provide transportation, meals and/or lodging, or reimburse to a reasonable amount for expense actually incurred for transportation and lodging.
