Sick Leave/Disability. The Executive will enjoy the same sick leave and short term and long term disability coverage as in effect for employees of the Company generally.

Sick Leave/Disability. During any period in which the Executive is absent from work as a result of personal injury, sickness or other disability, the Board may, by majority vote, appoint an Acting Executive to serve for the duration of the Executive’s absence. The Company shall, while such period continues or for 180 days, whichever is a shorter period, pay the Executive his full Base Salary. The Executive will also be entitled to additional disability benefits at least equal to that which is generally provided to other executive employees after the Effective Date.
Sick Leave/Disability. Employee shall be entitled to six paid sick days per year. Unused sick days shall carry over to the next year, but Employee shall cease accruing further sick days at any time he has accrued six days. Employee is not entitled to cash in lieu of sick leave. Additionally, Employee shall be eligible for any short term or long term disability benefits that Employer may establish, on the same terms as applicable to other senior officers of NDEI.
Sick Leave/Disability. Each employee shall accumulate paid sick leave on the basis of one (1) day for each month of service, not to exceed the maximum of sixty (60) days. All sick leave to which an employee is entitled and which is not used shall be credited to the employee cumulatively during his/her period of employment. Upon termination or retirement, each employee shall receive fifty percent (50%) of his/her accumulated sick leave and such payment shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00). If an employee terminates or retires at age 62 or older, he/she shall receive fifty percent (50%) of all unused sick leave. Employees who have ten (10) years of service upon termination or retirement shall receive all accumulated sick leaves and such payment shall not exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00). Employees shall have the right to verify their accumulated sick leave with their department head. To be allowed sick leave with pay, the employee or someone else shall notify his/her department head of illness or disability as soon as possible and at least one (1) hour prior to the beginning of his/her working day. An employee shall submit proof of sickness or disability to the Employer, if requested, when an employee has been instructed to present a physician’s certificate on return from his/her next absence for which sick leave is claimed. As provided by Minnesota statutes, an employee with twelve (12) months or more of hospital seniority may use personal sick leave benefits provided by the Employer for absences due to an illness of the employee's child for such reasonable periods as the employee's attendance with the child may be necessary. This usage shall be on the same terms the employee is able to use sick leave benefits for the employee's own illness. “The Employer shall offer to all employees scheduled to work a 0.75 FTE or greater, a Long‐Term Disability Plan in which the Employer shall pay seventy‐five (75%) percent of the Plan’s cost. This Plan shall commence after ninety (90) calendar days and shall pay sixty‐five percent (65%) of the employee’s salary. Employees may use sick leave for their Doctor and Dental appointments, which cannot be scheduled for their non‐work hours.
Sick Leave/Disability. ON-THE-JOB INJURIES, OFF-THE-JOB INJURIES, DEATH As of April 1, 1990, those individuals who have not accumulated four hundred-eighty (480) hours shall be allowed only to accumulate four hundred-eighty (480) hours in terms of buy-out upon retirement; however, he/she may accrue up to seven hundred-twenty (720) hours (said additional two hundred-forty (240) hours to be used only for actual illness or injury). Except as set forth above, any accumulated sick leave as of the effective date of this Contract shall be fixed as of that date.

Sick Leave/Disability. 1) Any officer who suffers from a non-occupational illness or injury that continuously prevents them from performing their normal police duties for a period of thirty (30) days and who has used up all sick days accumulated under Section 7.02(b)(i) above shall be entitled to an extendedSick Leave Disability Benefit” at a rate of two-thirds their base rate plus longevity pay for a period of twenty-five (25) working days (5 work weeks).
